James Clements and John Gutierrez present "Brothers In Arms" at La Mama

James Clements and frequent collaborator John Gutierrez were recently invited by La Mama E.T.C to present their new project, “Brothers in Arms” as a workshop production in July, followed by a talkback moderated by José Rivera Jr. This was accompanied by a stream through La Mama’s Online Happenings initiative. “Brothers in Arms” is a devised theatre piece exploring isolation, survival, connection and intimacy. Set in an undefined space during a moment of crisis, the piece, built from the experiences of its Dominican-American and Scottish creators, unpacks shifting ideas about memory, comradery and communication.
