James Clements and Doireann Mac Mahon's "Ellis Island" to be Screened at Queens Theatre for the City Artists Corps

“Ellis Island,” the streaming play written by James Clements and Doireann Mac Mahon and commissioned by Rattlestick Playwrights Theatre and the New York Theatre Salon for their 2021 Global Forms Theatre Festival, will screen at the Queens Theatre on Sunday October 17th at 2pm as part of the City Artists Corps Showcase. Clements was recently awarded a $5k grant through the City Artist Corps Grants program, presented by The New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) and the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs (DCLA), with support from the Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment (MOME) as well as Queens Theatre itself. The screening will be followed by a talkback with Clements, Mac Mahon and direct Marc Atkinson Borrull, moderated by Salma S. Zohdi and Jody Doo.
