“Ellis Island,” the streaming play written by James Clements and Doireann Mac Mahon and commissioned by Rattlestick Playwrights Theatre and the New York Theatre Salon for their 2021 Global Forms Theatre Festival, was reviewed by Emily Cordes of The Theatre Times. In a warm review, Cordes wrote that ‘thanks to Clements’ and Mac Mahon’s chemistry and nuanced script work, the two form likable allies and interesting foils, their opposing views highlighting immigrants’ countless existential and practical concerns.’ “Ellis Island” will screen at the Queens Theatre on Sunday October 17th at 2pm as part of the City Artists Corps Showcase.
